The students involved practice in both the mornings and after school, pushing themselves to get faster and, altogether, do better. They later compete in the BC Zones, where they compete to try and qualify for the BC high school cross country championships. Those that qualified for the championships will then compete against schools all over BC.
This year Ryan Tan (Grade 10) was the first student from ND to qualify for the BC high school championships in 7 years, where he placed 109 out of 265 students.
